When is Deadlock Coming Out?

In recent weeks, some news from insiders GabeFollower and Tom Henderson have appeared on the web regarding the upcoming unannounced project from Valve — Deadlock.

The game is a third-person team-based shooter with a gameplay style that is very similar to DotA 2 mixed with other competitive games such as SMITE, Team Fortress 2, Valorant, and Overwatch.

Despite the different reactions of players to this project, it should be admitted that the concept does not look new, but such a hybrid should be quite interesting, and therefore Deadlock will have fans if the project performs well.

Currently, the biggest question we are interested in is the release date of the game. Valve has not yet made any official announcements regarding the release date of Deadlock. Moreover, according to insiders, the game is at an early stage of development, but some people were lucky enough to play it in closed alpha testing. Judging by the recent gameplay video leaked online, there is still a lot of work to be done.

Therefore, at the moment, we can only assume when the game will be released to the public. And most likely, it will be no earlier than 2025, which is the same year predicted by insiders. As for the official dates, Valve may announce Deadlock at the next The International 2024 this autumn or very soon at Summer Game Fest, which will take place on 7 June.
