Robux can disappear fast in Steal an Egg, especially when both gamepasses speed up progression in very different ways. X2 Money doubles your earnings, while X2 Growth Speed cuts egg growth time in half. Which one is better mostly depends on your current stage of progression and what’s slowing you down.
Below, we’ll break down every Steal an Egg gamepass, what each one does, how much it costs, and which pass gives you the most value for your Robux.
All Steal an Egg Gamepasses and Prices
Steal an Egg currently has two gamepasses: X2 MONEY! and X2 GROWTH SPEED!. There’s no Lucky Hatch, Auto-Hatch, VIP, or any other purchasable gamepass available right now.
Here’s how the two passes compare:
Gamepass | Price | Effect |
X2 Money | 239 Robux | Doubles money earnings |
X2 Growth | 340 Robux | Makes eggs grow twice as fast |
These Steal an Egg gamepasses target two separate progression bottlenecks, so the cheaper option isn’t automatically the better purchase.
What Each Steal an Egg Gamepass Does
- X2 Money is the simple cash boost. It doubles the money you earn from your pets, making it more useful as your lineup gets stronger. Once you’ve got several high-earning pets, that extra income can speed up progression and make expensive upgrades much easier to afford. The Steal an Egg x2 money gamepass becomes especially noticeable once your base already generates a solid amount of cash.
- X2 Growth affects a different part of the gameplay loop. It makes eggs grow twice as fast, cutting the wait before you can hatch them. So, if an egg normally takes 10 minutes to grow, it’ll take roughly five minutes with the pass, assuming no other modifiers are active.
The Steal an Egg x2 growth speed gamepass only affects egg incubation. Despite the name, it doesn’t increase your character’s Speed or boost treadmill training. Character Speed is a separate progression stat used to reach new areas and make tougher egg-stealing runs easier.

Which Steal an Egg Gamepass Should You Buy First?
If you can only afford one gamepass, pick the one that fixes your biggest progression bottleneck.
X2 Money becomes much more valuable once your base has a decent lineup of profitable pets. Doubling a weak early-game income won’t make a huge difference, but doubling the output of several high-earning pets can speed up upgrades dramatically.
For example, boosting $1 million per second to $2 million is far more impactful than doubling a few thousand per second. That makes X2 Money a strong long-term choice if expensive upgrades are slowing you down more than hatch timers.

X2 Growth Speed is better when egg timers become the problem. Higher-value eggs can take longer to grow, so cutting that wait in half lets you hatch and cycle through eggs much faster. If your income is already comfortable but you’re constantly stuck waiting on valuable eggs, this pass starts to make a lot more sense.
The choice is pretty simple: buy X2 Money if you’re waiting on cash, and X2 Growth Speed if you’re waiting on eggs. For most players still building their economy, X2 Money will usually give the bigger overall progression boost. Players with strong income who hatch expensive eggs nonstop will get more value from X2 Growth Speed.
Neither gamepass is required, though. You can still progress normally in Steal an Egg without spending Robux.

Why Some Steal an Egg Gamepass Lists Are Wrong
Steal an Egg currently has only two permanent gamepasses: X2 Money and X2 Growth You may come across mentions of Lucky Hatch, Auto-Hatch, VIP.
That distinction matters because X2 Growth Speed! doesn’t boost your character’s movement Speed or treadmill gains. It only makes eggs grow faster. Likewise, there’s no permanent gamepass that increases hatch luck, automatically hatches eggs, or gives VIP bonuses. But there is still a Double Speed Booster, though it’s not included in the passes available in the shop.
Steal an Egg can also include consumable Robux purchases, such as options that instantly speed up or finish egg growth. These are one-time purchases rather than permanent gamepasses, so they shouldn’t be counted as extra passes.
If you’re spending Robux, always check what the purchase actually does in-game before buying it.

How to Grow Eggs Faster Without Robux
You don’t need X2 Growth Speed just to reduce egg waiting times. The Growing Eggs menu includes Grow All, which speeds up the eggs you’re currently incubating. It’s especially handy when several egg slots are occupied at once.
That doesn’t make X2 Growth Speed useless, though. Grow All is a manual boost for your current eggs, while X2 Growth Speed is a permanent multiplier that continuously cuts growth times after you buy it.
There’s also Instant Grow All, which is a separate Robux purchase that can finish active growth timers immediately. Since it’s a consumable purchase rather than a permanent upgrade, it isn’t another gamepass.
In terms of steal an egg worth it robux value, X2 Money generally makes more sense during economy-focused progression, while X2 Growth Speed becomes stronger once incubation time is the main thing holding you back.
