Finally, the Halloween update for Raise Animals has been released, and it's currently one of the largest seasonal additions to this brand-new Roblox simulator. It has introduced many intriguing festive details, including mythical and ghostly creatures, exciting events, a biome, and more. Fans of the game will be eager to explore everything the developers have added. In this review, we'll go over all the changes and innovations of the Halloween update for Raise Animals!

New Spooky Halloween Biome
The main addition in this update is the Halloween biome—a dark area filled with fog, flickering pumpkins, enchanted trees, and glowing green rivers.
Unlike other biomes, this one appears randomly as players travel through other locations in search of animals. The Halloween biome not only offers unique visual effects but also allows you to capture new seasonal creatures that can't be found elsewhere, making your catch unique in your squad.

New Halloween Animals in Raise Animals
The update added seven Halloween creatures, each with its own level of rarity and style. They range from common nocturnal creatures to supernatural beings from various legends. Below is a list of all the Halloween animals:
Animal | Rarity |
Owl | Rare |
Crow | Rare |
Tarantula | Epic |
Ghost | Epic |
Gargoyle | Legendary |
Jack O’ Lantern | Rainbow |
Headless Horse | Shine |
Each of these creatures affects the profit and overall appearance of your zoo differently, with the rarest attracting the most visitors. Jack O’ Lantern and Headless Horse have become especially popular due to their glowing effects and animated movements at rest, which is not surprising given their rarity and value.

Jack O’ Lantern Shop in Raise Animals
For those looking to purchase exclusive Halloween gear, the Jack O’ Lantern shop has appeared. This temporary vendor shows up every hour near the witch's cauldron and remains open for only 10 minutes.
Players can use candy—the main currency of the Halloween event—to buy items such as:
Item | Price / Candy Required |
Skeleton Horse | 7,500 Candy |
Bones Lasso | 4,000 Candy |
Pumpkin (food) | 30 Candy |
Candy (food) | 10 Candy |
New Weather Events in the Halloween Update for Raise Animals
In the world of Raise Animals, three new weather phenomena now occasionally appear, each with powerful effects and creating a spooky atmosphere.
- Blood Moon — increases animal value by 10 times and has a 1% chance of appearing.
- Black Hole — occurs even less frequently but provides a 12.5x bonus with only a 0.1% chance.
- Eclipse — can only be activated manually by developers, offering a 15x bonus and a striking spectacle that plunges the map into blood-red shadows.
Meteor Fall Event Becomes Pumpkin Fall
Changes also slightly affected the Meteor Fall event, which temporarily received a Halloween version—Pumpkin Fall. During this event, animals with the Spooky mutation effect may appear, and there is a 20% chance of encountering the rare Headless Horseman.

Witch's Cauldron
A mysterious witch's cauldron has appeared near the central shops. Using it, players can summon the “Haunted” weather type by sacrificing animals. To activate the effect, the community needs to collect 500 sacrifice points.
The number of points depends on the rarity of the animal:
- Exclusive — 500 points
- Shine — 100 points
- Rainbow — 50 points
- Legendary — 25 points
- Epic — 10 points
- Rare — 5 points
- Basic — 1 point

Trick or Treat Mini-Game in Raise Animals
The Halloween update for Raise Animals also added a new social mini-game "Trick or Treat," where players compete in a sweet gambling game. Each player chooses "Trick" or "Treat."
If one chooses Trick and the other Treat, the player who chose Trick steals 200 candies. If both choose Trick, no one gets anything. If both choose Treat, each receives 100 candies. The game is simple yet addictive. It's also a great way to earn candies you'll need in the shop!

Halloween Quests in Raise Animals
To keep the event engaging, the developer added daily Halloween quests. Now, every day, players can complete three missions that reward you with candies. The task list updates every 24 hours, encouraging regular gameplay to explore content and earn rewards. However, you can refresh the tasks for 79 Robux.
Tasks often involve capturing specific Halloween animals, visiting the Halloween biome, or trading at the Jack O’ Lantern shop.

Other Changes and Quality of Life (QoL) Improvements in Raise Animals
In addition to seasonal changes, several technical improvements have been implemented. Performance optimization has reduced lag in large zoos, and weather synchronization issues have been fixed.
The spawn rate of items like Medusa Lasso and Trident Lasso has been increased, making them easier to find. Red highlighting has been added for animals that are about to disappear, and improved weather visual effects make active bonuses more noticeable.
