Marvel Rivals Season 7 Early Patch Notes: White Fox & Other

Marvel Rivals Season 7 drops on March 20, 2026 at 9 AM UTC, and it's one of the bigger shakeups the game has seen. A new Strategist, a global Ultimate nerf that hits every hero simultaneously, two new Team-Ups, a fresh Convergence map, and a long list of buffs and nerfs — here's everything confirmed so far.

New Hero: White Fox

White Fox (real name Ami Han) joins the roster as a Strategist, splitting her kit between healing and burst damage. Her core mechanic revolves around Kumiho energy that builds passively throughout a match and can be spent to buff teammates and charm enemies.

Her kit at a glance:

Yeowoo Guseul (Fox Marbles) — her primary tool, healing allies and damaging enemies at the same time.

Partial Transformation — shifts her into fox form for quick repositioning around the battlefield.

Kumiho Energy — builds constantly in combat; releases powerful team buffs and enemy charm effects when unleashed.

Ultimate: Nine-Tailed Form — full fox transformation where she tears through enemies with claw attacks, heals nearby allies, and grants them Lifesteal bonuses.

White Fox also anchors one of the two new Team-Ups this season — more on that below.

Global Ultimate Nerf

For the first time in Marvel Rivals history, every hero is receiving the same adjustment: a ~20% reduction to Ultimate Ability energy charge rates. The goal is to reduce constant Ultimate spam and push matches toward more neutral, ability-free exchanges.

The implementation differs slightly by role:

Vanguards & Duelists — damage-to-energy conversion drops from 90% to 70%; passive energy regen reduced from 12/s to 11/s.

Strategists — damage/healing-to-energy conversion drops from 90% to 75%; passive energy regen takes a harder hit, dropping from 12/s to 8/s.

This change also targets triple-Strategist compositions, which have leaned heavily on constant Ultimate cycling.

New Map: Lower Manhattan

Lower Manhattan is a new Convergence map coming in Season 7, set in the aftermath of an assault by 2099's Alchemax Corporation. The area has been locked down to stop further corruption, giving it a distinctly different feel from the existing New York locations.

The map arrives with the April 2 update, not at season launch.

Additionally, Shin-Shibuya returns to the Competitive map pool in Season 7.

New Team-Up Abilities

Two Team-Ups are being added, and two are being retired.

Blessing of the Kumiho (White Fox + Luna Snow) — White Fox acts as anchor, gaining a 10% healing boost. Luna unlocks Spirit Fox Accord: she launches a spirit fox in a straight line that heals allies, damages enemies, and briefly charms them into walking toward her. Luna also gets a movement speed boost after using it.

Cosmic Cyclone (Storm + Adam Warlock) — Adam Warlock gains Heavenly Harmony through his Team-Up with Storm. After activating Soaring Surge, he leaves a trail of charged energy that heals and speeds up allies who pass through it. His own movement speed while flying also increases.

Retired: Jeff-Nado (Storm + Jeff the Land Shark) and Duality Dance (Adam Warlock + Luna Snow) are both being removed this season.

Emma Frost — Diamond Form damage reduction reduced; Psionic Seduction gets adjusted damage falloff but gains 20% damage reduction while active.

Magik — larger hitbox on Umbral Incursion, slightly reduced max charged damage, faster Darkchild startup.

Invisible Woman — Guardian Shield in-combat healing nerfed (25/s to 15/s) but out-of-combat recovery boosted (20/s to 30/s).
