Several weeks after the official release of Counter-Strike 2, developers have restored access to community-created maps. In this guide, Bo3.gg will explain how to play CS2 using maps from the Steam Workshop.
Why use Steam Workshop maps?
Aim practice
The most crucial aspect of CS2 is a player's ability to quickly and accurately aim at opponents. This skill is called "Aim." Serious gamers make significant progress in their aim skill through dedicated training. If you play matchmaking, the effect might be weak. This is where Steam Workshop maps come in handy.
For maximum training efficiency, it's essential to eliminate all extraneous factors unrelated to shooting. Unique aim maps allow players to refine their shooting skills quickly with different weapons in CS2. There are plenty of such maps in the Steam Workshop.
Players also need to practice movement skills. The essence is that, for an accurate shot, a gamer must stop in time, and only then will they have a positive outcome. Aiming should be based on unconscious actions and muscle memory.
Other training types
Training in CS2 is not limited to just shooting. Various location modifications will help you improve bomb placement and defusing skills and Bunny Hop (bhop). You can find maps for every taste and preference.
Entertainment with friends
To have a fun evening with friends, you don't necessarily have to gather a party for CS2 matchmaking. Playing on one of the maps available in the Steam Workshop can be much more interesting. It all depends on your ultimate goal, whether raising your rating or getting a dose of positive emotions.
