With the release of Grand Theft Auto VI set for 2025, excitement is already building around it and fans can not wait to find out what weapons will be available in this edition. Although official information has yet to be released by Rockstar Games, there is plenty of leaked information as well as footage that has given some level of clarity regarding the arsenal that will be featured. Here is a compilation of the weapons that are said to be in GTA 6 with some confirmations and many of them still bearing the label of rumors.

Handguns

• PT92AF Pistol: Modeled after the real-life PT92AF, this semi-automatic pistol is manufactured in-game by Hawk & Little. It supports various attachments and tints.
• Hybrid Pistol: Resembling a Glock 17 with a Sigma SW9F frame, this pistol is used by protagonist Lucia in the reveal trailer.

Submachine Guns (SMGs)

• Compact SMG: Based on the Scorpion Mini-SMG, this weapon is customizable with attachments and tints.
• Micro SMG: Inspired by the Mini Uzi, it also supports various customizations.

Assault Rifles

• Assault Rifle: Modeled after the AK-47, this rifle is manufactured by Shrewsbury and can be customized with attachments and tints.
• Modular Carbine (Vom Feuer Mamba): A versatile battle rifle with extensive customization options, including various ammunition types and attachments.

Sniper Rifles

• Bolt Action Sniper: Confirmed through leaked footage, this sniper rifle offers customization with attachments and tints.
• Tactical Precision Rifle (Shrewsbury Harpax): A high-accuracy sniper rifle used by NOOSE and Coast Guard helicopter snipers, featuring extensive customization options.

Heavy Weapons

• RPG (Rocket Launcher): A classic heavy weapon, modeled after the RPG-7, returning from previous GTA titles.

Thrown Weapons

• Grenade: Based on the M61 grenade, this classic explosive is confirmed to return.
• Molotov Cocktail, Smoke Grenade, Flashbang, Fire Bottle: A range of thrown weapons providing tactical options in combat.

Melee Weapons

• Based on the leaks and the footage, the traditional melee weapons includes the knife, crow bar, pool cue, baseball bat and golf club.
• Chainsaw: An interesting new feature was previewed in a developer's LinkedIn profile. The addition seems to align with the objectives of the game.

Special Weapons & Items

• Speargun: A unique underwater weapon confirmed via leaked footage.
• Stun Gun (Taser), Snowball, Fireworks: Special weapons offering varied gameplay experiences.
• Utility Items:The inclusion of these items suggests further developed gameplay mechanics which includes lockpicks, zip ties, and even trauma kits.

Even with a simple look at the weapons available in GTA 6, it is apparent that the game attempts to incorporate elements of realism, diversity, and tactics from the military. The game features advanced weaponry such as the AK-47 and RPG, along with the more advanced stun gun and speargun which are firearms featuring more intricate mechanisms. Furthermore, the inclusion of melee weapons and throwable and utility items such as lockpicks and trauma kits hints at more advanced options beyond straightforward gunfights, allowing for planning, stealth, and improvisation. Unlike other games, GTA 6 is different because of the new purported dual-inventory system and further customization options. These alterations seem to indicate that Rockstar is shifting its design focus to combat mechanics, providing players unprecedented control and engagement within the gameplay.
