Operation Breakout Weapon Case is a special edition weapon case released initially at Operation Breakout of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO). Upon the launch of Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), these legacy cases, as such, have had renewed interest as they were rare, had unique, exclusive skins, and special knives to drop. This case is no longer in active drop rotation and is considered a rare drop from the game’s drop pool or available through the Steam Community Market.
There is a combination of restricted, classified, and Mil-Spec skins, as well as unique knife skins under the Butterfly Knife section. The Operation Breakout Weapon Case is among the few cases that contain the Butterfly Knife, so it's particularly unique to collectors and traders.
Valve disclosed official case drop rates in 2017. These rates apply to all CS2 weapon cases, including legacy cases like Operation Breakout.
Item Rarity | Drop Probability |
Mil-Spec (Blue) | ~79.92% |
Restricted (Purple) | ~15.98% |
Classified (Pink) | ~3.20% |
Covert (Red) | ~0.64% |
Knife (Gold) | ~0.26% |
As part of the rare drop pool, the Operation Breakout Case has an estimated drop chance of less than 1% per week when a player is eligible for a weekly case drop. It is no longer part of the active drop rotation.
