Fire Temple is one of the first challenging Expeditions in Aion 2, testing not only your character's power but also your ability to move correctly during boss mechanics. This aion 2 fire temple guide covers the entry requirements, route, bosses, rewards, and the best way to approach the Expedition.
In the Aion 2 Fire Temple, you will face three main bosses: Red Spark Ignus, Black Smoke Murute, and Kromede's Desire. There is also an optional elite enemy, Silver Blade Rotan, along the route.

Fire Temple is a Tier 3 Expedition. Conquest is intended for characters who have already reached 2,100 Item Level and are ready to move into stronger PvE gear.
Do not confuse Item Level with Combat Power or Gear Score. Item Level is the specific requirement for entering an Expedition. Combat Power shows your character's overall combat strength and does not replace the Item Level requirement.
Entry Requirements: Exploration vs Conquest
The main aion 2 fire temple requirements depend on which version of the Expedition you want to enter.

Fire Temple Exploration unlocks at Level 35 and requires 500 Item Level. This is the earlier version of the dungeon and gives you a chance to learn its route and boss mechanics.
Fire Temple Conquest unlocks at Level 45 and requires 2,100 Item Level.
Reaching 2,100 IL does not mean your character will automatically have an easy time clearing the dungeon. It is only the minimum entry requirement. If you have just reached this threshold, it is better to run the Expedition with a full party rather than immediately attempting difficult mechanics solo.

Route and Hazards
Fire Temple consists of several fire-themed areas, corridors, and boss arenas. While moving through the dungeon, you need to constantly watch for ground AoEs and falling attacks.
You can encounter Silver Blade Rotan along the route. This is an optional elite enemy, so the party can skip it if the goal is to reach the bosses as quickly as possible.
The dungeon also contains mechanics related to cooling. In some versions of Fire Temple, you can find two coolant consoles that disable some of the falling fire attacks. They are not required to complete the Expedition but can make the route safer.
The most important rule while moving through Fire Temple is not to rush forward without looking around. Fire AoEs can quickly remove a large portion of your HP, especially when your character is close to the minimum Item Level.
Aion 2 Fire Temple Boss Guide
The aion 2 fire temple boss encounters are the main challenge of the Expedition. There are three main bosses: Red Spark Ignus, Black Smoke Murute, and Kromede's Desire.

Red Spark Ignus
Red Spark Ignus is one of the first main bosses in Fire Temple.
At around 75% HP, Ignus marks two players. After a few seconds, lava puddles appear beneath them.
If you are marked, move toward the edge of the arena and leave the puddle there. Do not place it in the center, as the puddle remains on the ground and gradually reduces the safe area.
At around 65% HP, Ignus uses Blazing Speed. The boss moves between players and leaves dangerous AoEs behind.
Ignus also uses:
- circular AoEs;
- a charge toward the tank;
- explosions after moving;
- several linear attacks in a star-shaped pattern.
The most important part of this fight is placing lava puddles correctly and preserving as much safe space as possible.

Black Smoke Murute
Black Smoke Murute is the second main boss in Fire Temple.
Murute uses many attacks with delayed effects. After a ground attack animation, circular AoEs can appear beneath players, so do not use your dodge too early.
At around 50% HP, Murute activates Expanding Stomp Waves. An AoE appears around the boss, followed by additional waves that expand outward.
Murute's main attacks include:
- ground strikes;
- a jump toward the tank;
- a charge followed by another attack;
- rock and linear AoEs;
- waves spreading outward from the boss.
Pay close attention to the boss's animations during this fight. Many attacks have a delay, so using your dodge at the correct moment is more important than constantly moving around.
Kromede's Desire
Kromede's Desire is the final boss of Fire Temple and the most difficult part of the Expedition.
The tank should keep the boss facing away from the group, while melee DPS can stay behind Kromede. This helps them avoid some of her sword attacks.
One of the key attacks is Burning Arrow. Kromede creates red lines toward players and then fires flaming arrows along those paths.
If you see a red line, move out of it immediately. Melee DPS should be especially careful because several attack lines can overlap close to the boss.
Flame Walls
At around 70% HP, Kromede becomes invulnerable and starts the Flame Walls mechanic.
Walls of fire appear across the arena, with safe openings between them. Players must quickly identify the correct opening and move through it.
Do not spend all your Stamina at the beginning of the mechanic. Identify the safe path first and move toward it without unnecessary movement.
After the mechanic ends, Kromede returns to the normal fight.

Kromede's Clones
Later in the fight, Kromede clones appear. They create additional AoEs and force the party to pay closer attention to positioning.

Do not simply run around the arena. Stay in a safe area and move only when the mechanics require it.
Second Flame Wall Phase
At around 35–40% HP, Kromede starts another Flame Wall phase.
This time, the mechanic becomes more difficult because additional projectiles and fire zones can appear at the same time.
After the phase ends, Kromede continues using bow attacks, AoEs, and jumps toward players.
At this stage, do not sacrifice the entire party just to maintain DPS. Staying alive is more important because losing several players can easily lead to a failed run.
Rewards and What Fire Temple Is For
Fire Temple is primarily used for Tier 3 PvE progression.
Odyle Energy is required to claim a reward cube:
- Exploration — 30 Odyle Energy;
- Conquest — 40 Odyle Energy.
Conquest provides stronger gear, including Enraged Kromede weapons and accessories.
Fire Temple also uses a guaranteed reward system after a certain number of reward cubes. For this Expedition, the threshold is 28 cubes.
It is also important to note that Fire Temple does not have Heroic weapon variants in Global Season 1. If you see these items in older guides, do not automatically apply that information to the Global version.
Because of this, once Conquest is available, it is generally more valuable to save your Odyle Energy for that version of the Expedition and use Exploration mainly to learn the mechanics.
Solo, Duo or Full Party
Fire Temple allows parties of 1 to 5 players.
Technically, the Expedition can be completed solo, and there are separate challenges for Fire Temple Conquest Solo Clear. However, this does not mean that soloing is the optimal choice for a character at the minimum Item Level.
If you have just unlocked Conquest at 2,100 IL, a full five-player party is the better option.
A full party allows you to:
- kill bosses faster;
- recover more easily from mistakes;
- handle mechanics more consistently;
- divide responsibilities between players.
Solo clears are better suited to stronger characters who already know Fire Temple's mechanics well.
When to Run It and When to Skip
Fire Temple Exploration is worth completing at Level 35. You do not need to farm it endlessly, but it is a good way to learn the main mechanics before moving into Conquest.
Once your character reaches Level 45 and 2,100 Item Level, Conquest becomes available. This is the version that matters most for further PvE progression.
If you barely meet the 2,100 IL requirement, it is better to improve your gear and find a full party first. If your Item Level is already comfortably above the minimum, Fire Temple Conquest becomes much easier.
After reaching Tier 3, Fire Temple should be run alongside the other available Expeditions at this level to improve your gear more efficiently.
