Top 5 Players' Debuts of 2022: m0NESY, Spinx and Others

The competitive season in CS:GO is almost over, and the time has come to sum up the year's results. Therefore, we suggest starting with the top debutants of 2022.

#5. Adam NEOFRAG Zuhar

The 21-year-old Czech previously played for SINNERS with Oskar, and these two turned the team into a rather tricky opponent, even for some tier-1 teams. NEOFRAG was signed by OG on May 27, paired with Polish F1KU, and their debut took place in June at BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2022.

In the first match, they had to play against NAVI, who became the tournament winner. However, only OG could win the series against the "yellow and black." The rest of the teams could not take a single map.

NEOFRAG showed him worthy in the debut match and became the top fragger, making NAVI sweat quite a bit.

#4. Ilya m0NESY Osipov

On January 3, 2022, the transfer of Ilya m0NESY Osypov from NAVI Junior to G2 Esports was announced. The transfer amount is still unknown, but the investment was clearly worth it. The Russian cyber sportsman was already ready for the tier-1 stage from the first matches.

The new team's debut came in a match against Complexity Gaming at BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022. Osipov finished the game with a score of 6.2, and G2 confidently won. Since then, m0NESY has demonstrated stable play despite the team's failures in tournaments. Ilya has become as firmly entrenched in the lineup as NiKo.

It would be fair to assume that m0NESY is ready to fight for the title of the best player in the world in 2023. Imagine a three-person race between ZywOo, s1mple, and young m0NESY. Almost like when we had Ronaldo, Messi, and Neymar.

#3. Dorian xertioN Berman

The MOUZ NXT student xertioN is one of the examples of a successful academic project along with NAVI Junior. He was a significant reason why the youth team of MOUZ did not leave anyone a chance in the first few seasons of the WePlay Academy League.

Dorian was promoted to the main team in August, becoming the third academy player after torzsi and JDC to make it to the "adult" roster. His debut in EPL Season 16 turned out to be really different because a 6.9 rating and the biggest difference in kills and deaths against such a team as Heroic is a good application for the future.

Now xertioN is the second-best MOUZ player after the "old man" frozen. If the club management wants to claim gold medals, they must hold on to Dorian with both hands.

#2. Adam torzsi Torzsas

The second sniper and the second former member of MOUZ NXT also played very well in the first match on the big stage. The Brazilians from GODSENT could not oppose Adam in bo1 on Nuke, as a result he scored a rating of 6.9.

The Hungarian joined MOUZ at the very beginning of the year in January, won at IEM Katowice, and took 9-12 place. With the arrival of xertioN, it is possible to expect that in 2023 the result in Katowice will be noticeably better.

#1. Lotan Spinx Gilad

During the summer break, Lotan Spinx Gilady moved from ENCE to Team Vitality, replacing Kevin misutaaa Rabier in the main team. The transfer details were not disclosed, but later it became known that the Vitality players agreed to reduce their salaries to make this transfer possible. A big bet, isn't it?

Already in the first match for the new team, the Israeli cyber sportsman proved that he entirely met the expectations placed on him. Spinx finished against OG at BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022 with a score of 6.9. Better was only Team Vitality's Mathieu ZywOo Erbo, with a rating of 8. Gilady continues to stand out in the team's play to this day.

As practice shows, integrating new players into the team rarely goes smoothly. However, our top proves that if an athlete goes to a comfortable team, he can give excellent results from the very first matches.
