CS2 slows down pc and having huge lags and fps drops

Hi everyone, I havne't played in a while but now everytime I log on my pc just slows down completely, the loading time is long and even in the home screen I'm having huge fps drops, also in the home screen I'm on about 100 fps and it drops to the 30 mark, I have tried re-installing and I even factory reset my pc, I have a ryzen 7 3700x and a 4070, I know its a bit of a bottleneck but not something that should make the game unplayable... I have tried lowering my settings but nothing seems to work and I just have these huge lags, can someone help me find a way to fix it? thanks

Hi. I also had this problem once, not specifically with CS2, but mine was also very bad, so I have some tips that MIGHT help you:1. Check your PC for viruses (yes, even if you are sure that there are no viruses, believe me, there MIGHT be).- Some viruses disguise themselves as system files, programs, applications, etc.2. Update your drivers to the latest version (yes, this is ALSO VERY IMPORTANT).- This is a bit more complicated, even if you already have the latest drivers, it still doesn't guarantee you normal operation, because even the newest ones can crash.3. Check your internet connection, it can cause huge lags, as you said.4. Check the internal condition of your PC (I mean the condition of the components, maybe it's time to update the thermal paste or something)5. REMEMBER, the game (official, without viruses, from the store) CANNOT INFLUENCE the performance of the PC, and even more so load it so much that even after launching it begins to “stall”.6.  You may have forgotten about Windows Update (yes, this bastard is also very capable of “loading” the PC).7. When your fps feels bad (drops), look in the “console” (`) ) for errors, because they may be the cause of your problem.8. VERY IMPORTANT:  Try logging into the system through “safe mode” and see which process in the manager is loading your system.Even if that doesn't help, at least you'll have the basic knowledge.

Sorry for the unreadable text, BO3 doesn't allow you to edit it to make it readable. But I think that's the least of your problems right now.

In the nvidia panel settings (3D Management), try to set the Shader Cache Size to 1 Gbyte

He noted that he experienced lags as soon as he logged in.There can be only a few problems here:1. Hardware (breakdown of devices)2. Software (viruses, corruption of important files)3. The hard disk is loaded, which led to a slowdown in the PC.It doesn't matter what kind of computer you have, even if it's a NASA computer, a heavy load will disable any device.

I just noticed that you mentioned that you have already rebooted the system, so the problem is most likely not viruses or corrupted system files, because after reinstalling they are RESTORED.So, the problem may now be of a hardware nature, that is: Incorrectly configured programs, breakdown of devices such as: video card, processor, RAM, hard disk, ssd, power supply, wires connecting all these components, motherboard (although if it breaks, the PC will not work at all)
