TYLOO, Astralis, BIG, and paiN started with victories at FISSURE Playground #1

The FISSURE Playground #1 tournament in Belgrade kicked off with a series of exciting matches and early surprises. On the first day of play, four teams declared their ambitions for the trophy with confident 2-0 victories. TYLOO, Astralis, BIG, and paiN performed the best, all defeating experienced opponents and moving closer to the playoffs.

TYLOO deserves special attention, as they sensationally knocked out Virtus.pro without losing a single map. This is the most notable upset of the first day, considering VP's form in previous tournaments. Astralis showed that they are returning to stability — their confident performance against MIBR was their statement. BIG ruined Heroic's plans, who are still unable to find stability after personnel changes. And paiN crushed Rare Atom, confirming their status as leaders of the South American region.

Match results on July 15

  • Astralis 2–0 MIBR
  • BIG 2–0 Heroic
  • TYLOO 2–0 Virtus.pro
  • paiN 2–0 Rare Atom
  • Lynn Vision 2–0 3DMAX
  • SAW 2–0 FURIA
  • Complexity 2–1 BetBoom
  • GamerLegion 2–1 Wildcard

After winning their opening matches, Astralis, BIG, TYLOO, and paiN will face each other in matches to advance to the playoffs. The winners will advance directly to the quarterfinals, so the stakes are very high. For the teams that lost on the first day, the next match will be decisive: Heroic, Virtus.pro, FURIA, and others are one step away from being eliminated from the tournament, and defeat will mean the end of the road.
