CS2 now features a “Protected Items” function designed to protect against fraudsters

Tonight, Valve introduced a new update to CS2, dedicated to the first episode of the second season of Premier. In addition to changes to the map pool, a “Protected Items” feature has been added to the game, which can protect your inventory in the event of an account hack.

What are “Protected Items”?

As Valve said in the update notes, players can now cancel all trades made in the last seven days. This is so you don't lose your items if your account gets hacked or you run into a scammer.

Today we are introducing a new feature to help protect your Counter-Strike items. If you lose control of your account or become a victim of fraud by a malicious actor, you can cancel all Counter-Strike item trades made in the last 7 days.

To do this, you need to go to Steam Support and select the “Item Help” section, then follow the instructions. If you use this feature, you will be able to return all skins from the last 7 days. However, after that, your account will be partially restricted, and you will not be able to trade or exchange items on the platform for 30 days.

We remind you that the update has brought changes to the map pool and the game economy. You can read more about these features at the link.
