Six Invitational 2025 closed the season in Rainbow Six Siege, becoming a key event for all top teams. This tournament not only determined the champion, but also confirmed or denied the expectations that had been formed throughout the year. According to the SI Points 2024 ranking, Team BDS (720 points), FaZe Clan (570), Team Secret (550), W7M Esports (525), Unwanted (520), and Team Liquid (465) proved to be the best. However, the results of the Six Invitational 2025 itself were far from unambiguous.
Champions that exceeded expectations
FaZe Clan completed an incredible season by winning the Six Invitational 2025 and confirming their status as one of the leading teams of the year. Despite the fact that they were behind Team BDS in the overall ranking, it was FaZe who demonstrated the most confident game throughout the tournament. The team was distinguished by flexible tactics, well-coordinated interaction and a high individual level of players, which became a decisive factor in the fight for $1 000 000 in prize money.
At the same time, FaZe's path to the playoffs was far from cloudless: they were defeated in the first round and dropped to the bottom of the bracket. However, instead of being disappointed, the team pulled themselves together and demonstrated exceptional endurance, gradually knocking out their opponents until the grand final. This incredible comeback showed how ready the team is to act under pressure and find new solutions in difficult situations. Thanks to this resilience, FaZe has finally established itself among the Rainbow Six Siege elite, proving that they can win even in the most difficult circumstances.

Leaders of the season, but not the tournament
According to the results of SI Points 2024, Team BDS topped the standings with 720 points and were clear favorites to claim the Six Invitational 2025 title. However, they once again finished second—making it their third consecutive runner-up finish at a major international event. Prior to this, they also ended up in second place at both Majors in 2024, signaling a recurring issue with closing out grand finals.
Despite consistently strong performances throughout the year—often dominating group stages and early playoff matches—BDS seem to lose their edge when it matters most. Observers point out that while their strategic depth and coordination are top-tier, something falters in the final moments. Even so, they remain a powerhouse on the global stage. Their continued presence in championship matches underscores their elite status, but these back-to-back second-place finishes highlight a need to address the mental or tactical gaps that prevent them from securing that elusive title victory.

New challenges and unexpected breakthroughs
FURIA (3rd place) once again proved their potential by taking first place in their group (3-0-1) and beating rivals such as FaZe Clan. The aggressive but well-coordinated style of play helped the Brazilians reach the final stages of the tournament, where they lost to BDS and FaZe. As a result, the third place cemented FURIA's status as one of the main contenders for leadership in the global Rainbow Six Siege.
Unwanted (4th place), a professional American team that currently operates without the support of an organization, was a pleasant surprise. The team was formed after part of the Cloud9 Beastcoast roster was acquired by M80, so the players united under the name Unwanted. Despite the lack of an official sponsor, they performed impressively, knocking out several favorites in the lower grid and taking the fourth place. Their successful performance significantly increases Unwanted’s chances of finding a new organization or sponsors, as the team has proven its ability to compete at the highest level.

A missed chance
Team Secret (550 points) approached the tournament with a reputation as a fairly stable team, so they were expected to advance from the group and win at least a few playoff matches. However, the team failed to demonstrate the proper level: unstable play and lack of clear interaction led to failure at the group stage. Fans were disappointed as Secret did not realize even half of their potential.
W7M Esports (525 points) was also considered a contender for a stable performance, especially after successful matches in previous tournaments. The team did make it to the playoffs, but dropped out after two consecutive defeats, which looked like a complete failure given the high expectations. The quick end of the tournament for W7M showed that they lacked confidence in decisive games and better adaptation to their opponents in the playoffs.
Team Liquid (465 points), despite their considerable experience, also failed to impress. The team was considered a contender to reach the final stages, but instability and tactical mistakes prevented the team from breaking into the top and dropping out after the first match. They were left off the podium, which raised many questions about internal communication and adaptation to the current goal.

General impressions and expectations
- Confirmed leadership of FaZe Clan: the team has shown that it can beat the strongest opponents, even if it is inferior to them in the seasonal ranking.
- Team BDS's unfinished story: they again stopped one step short of an absolute triumph, so next season the team will have additional motivation to come back even stronger.
- Sensations FURIA and Unwanted: these teams have become an example of how to develop properly and work on mistakes to make a name for themselves at the highest level.
- Teams that failed: Team Secret, W7M Esports, and Team Liquid need a serious revision of tactical training and internal interaction to return to the top next season.
Six Invitational 2025 confirmed that there is no stable dominance of one team on the global Rainbow Six Siege stage - everything is decided by the form, preparation, and team chemistry at a particular moment. FaZe Clan once again proved their championship title, while Team BDS and other teams are looking for revenge in the new season. Updated rosters, new strategies, and, undoubtedly, a fierce fight for the Rainbow Six Siege championship are waiting for us. Stay tuned as the R6 world is constantly evolving and preparing even more surprises!
