Vitality have done it again. After a 2-1 win over The MongolZ in the grand final, they are the champions of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. This is their seventh title of the year, adding even more weight to what has already been a historic season. The French-led team takes home $500,000, while The MongolZ walk away with $170,000 and plenty of respect.
The star of the event was once again Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, who won the MVP award after another great tournament. This marks ZywOo’s seventh MVP medal of the year, showing that he’s still one of the best players in the world. His stats were strong: 0.89 kills per round, 90.9 ADR, and an overall rating of 7.2.

Vitality’s 2025 dominance
This win in Austin means Vitality now have 34 straight wins in Bo3 or Bo5 series. That’s an insane streak. Since Robin “ropz” Kool joined earlier this year, the team has only gone up. Their seven titles so far include:
- IEM Katowice 2025
- ESL Pro League Season 21
- BLAST Open Spring 2025
- IEM Melbourne 2025
- BLAST Rivals Spring 2025
- IEM Dallas 2025
- BLAST Austin Major 2025
Right now, they are without a doubt the best team in the world.

ZywOo: Quiet final, strong event
While ZywOo’s performance in the final wasn’t his best – he only had a 6.4 rating – he was the rock for his team during the whole event. He showed up in every match and helped carry Vitality to the playoffs. In many of the earlier games, he was a step above everyone else.

ZywOo’s ratings by match:
- vs Legacy – 6.4
- vs Nemiga – 8.4
- vs 3DMAX – 7.8
- vs Virtus.pro – 7.8
- vs NAVI (Quarterfinal) – 7.3
- vs MOUZ (Semifinal) – 7.4
- vs The MongolZ (Final) – 6.4
Even with a weaker final, ZywOo’s consistency is what earned him the MVP.

EVPs of BLAST Austin Major 2025
Aside from ZywOo, four other players stood out and earned EVP (Exceptionally Valuable Player) awards for their great performances throughout the event.

Senzu – The MongolZ

This was a big step forward for Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold, who finally broke his playoff curse. He helped The MongolZ reach the grand final and was their main carry the entire tournament. He had strong games even in tough matches and showed real progress.

ropz – Vitality
Rating: 6.6
ropz ends the season on a high note. After two losses in CS2 Major finals with FaZe, he finally got the big trophy with Vitality. Calm, smart, and deadly as always, ropz added another EVP to his collection and proved again why he’s one of the best riflers in CS2.

nqz – paiN

910 – The MongolZ
Rating: 6.3
This is Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch’s second EVP in a row, showing how consistent he’s becoming. He struggled in the final, but he was huge in the quarterfinals and semis. His rifling and mid-round calls gave The MongolZ a real edge.

What’s next?
With this win, Vitality head into the off-season as the most dominant team in CS2. Their next big challenge is FISSURE Playground #1, which takes place from July 15–20, 2025, and has a $1,000,000 prize pool. It will be the first event of the new season, and everyone will be watching to see if Vitality can keep the streak going.
Final thoughts
ZywOo continues to shine as CS2’s biggest star. Vitality are playing near-perfect Counter-Strike, and their teamwork looks better than ever. The win in Austin was another step toward what could be the most successful season in CS history.
As for the other teams, The MongolZ, paiN, and MOUZ all showed that they belong on the big stage. But right now, Vitality are on a different level – and with ZywOo leading the charge, they might stay there for a while.
