Valve showcases movement differences in CS:GO and CS2 — VIDEO The developers have released a comparison of movement in CS:GO and Counter-Strike 2. According to them, maintaining the importance of strafing skill is a top priority for Valve. The video was posted on the official CS2 Twitter page.

When playing the video at 0.25 speed, it can be noticed that the character model in CS:GO moves faster than in CS2. Former professional CS:GO player and analyst Jacob "Pimp" Winneche previously pointed this out.

The more I play Counter-Strike 2, the sadder I become. The movement is horrible at best. The character feels clumsy and slow. When crouching and moving, it feels like I weigh 130 kilograms again. In CS:GO, movement was the one thing done perfectly. I pray that the developers address this issue.

Limited testing of the new version of Counter-Strike started on March 22. On June 6, the developers replaced the Dust2 map with Mirage and introduced a new buying system at the beginning of the round. More details about this can be read in the article.
