The dates for the Counter-Strike 2 majors in 2025 and 2026 have been announced

Valve has determined the dates for the Counter-Strike 2 majors in 2025 and 2026. The portal HLTV shared this information.

According to HLTV, the CS2 developers have sent out proposals to tournament operators to participate in the tenders for the majors, which will take place in 2025 and 2026. Tournament operators can apply for more than one major if they submit several applications.

An interesting fact is that all future majors have been moved to the end of the seasons. Thus, they will take place in June and December, rather than as previously - in May and November.

Great great move. Ending the seasons with Majors is what make the most sense in every aspect imo. Can see some complain that players would be tired after so many months of tournament before tho. But World Cup, Euros, CL finals, etc. are all also at the end of the season.

RMR and rules

As before, tournament operators will not only hold majors, but also regional RMR championships, as well as qualifications before them. Changes to the rules of championships and slots for regions remain with Valve. Organizers will also receive financial support from developers for the prize pool, flights, and team accommodation.

As always, tournament operators organizing majors will have to adhere to an additional set of Valve rules, which is updated periodically.
