NiP vs. Grayhound prediction: who will make it to the score of 3:1?

The match between Ninjas in Pajamas and Grayhound will start tomorrow for the final major in CS:GO with a score of 3:1.

Grayhound look like underdogs in this match, but everything is not so obvious. After all, both teams currently have a score of 2:1.

In the first match, the Grayhound team won over the FORZE team in a close fight on the Mirage map with a score of 14:16. And then got a disappointing, and on the other hand, legendary defeat from the Apeks on the Mirage map with a score of 0:16.

But in yesterday's match, the team from Australia beat TheMongolz with a score of 16:10 on the Nuke map.

On the other hand, the NiP team won their first match against MOUZ at the same Mirage with a score of 16:10. After that, they were defeated by ENCE at Vertigo 9:16. And yesterday, they were able to wrest victory from OG only after the first additional rounds on Mirage with a score of 19:17.

Maps

The match will be held in bo3 format. As we can see, the teams do not have a particular advantage on any map from the map pool.

But it is worth it because the ninjas have an Anubis map permaban, which the team refuses to accept in their pool. But Grayhound doesn't play Overpass at all.

Since the first bans will be spent on these two maps. And here, the spades will go further. The first pick from NiP will be 90% the Mirage map, which is loved by new teams since it is the most popular map on Faceit and it is the easiest to "play.”

But Grayhound's peak may fall on Inferno or Ancient, where NiP may have problems. After all, the last time the Inferno map was played by Ninjas in Pajamas was at IEM Rio 2023, and then they lost only once to the Heroic 9:16.

The story is the same with the Ancient, which NiP lost in the exact match with the same score of 9:16.

Results

Although Grayhound looks like clear underdogs in this match, you can't underestimate them. After all, the map pool of the new NiP is not yet very flexible, and also not all cards are ready. But the teams had a whole day to prepare for the match. We think that the analysts of the teams did a great job before the match.

Which, in the end, indicates that an exciting match is waiting for us!

Remember that from May 8 to 21, 2023, Paris Major 2023 by BLAST.tv will be held in France. The teams are fighting for a total prize pool of $1.25 million.
