In addition to the qualification dates, ESL representatives told how the slots in the championship would be distributed. A total of 16 teams will participate in IEM Dallas 2023. Six slots in the competition will be given to ESL partner clubs. Four more will be given to the best teams in the ESL ranking, as well as one invitation to the "local hero": the most productive team in the country. All invitations will be sent to organizations on February 13.
For the qualifications, the organizers of the tournament allocated five slots: two for teams from Europe, one each for North and South America, as well as one quota for Oceania.

European qualifications:
- Open qualification #1: March 11-12
- Open qualification #2: March 22-23
- Closed qualification: March 25-27
North American qualifications:
- Open qualification #1: February 28 — March 1
- Open qualification #2: March 2–3
- Closed qualification: March 4–5
Qualifications for Oceania:
- Open qualification #1: March 20-21
- Open qualification #2: March 22-23
- Closed qualification: March 24-25
Qualification for South America:
- Open qualification #1: March 16-17
- Open qualification #2: March 26-27
- Closed qualification: April 12-13
IEM Dallas 2023 will be held from May 29 to June 6 in Dallas, USA. The teams will draw a prize fund of $250,000 and a slot at IEM Cologne 2023.
