For the second year in a row, Roobet is organizing a CS:GO tournament with a prize pool of $250,000. 16 teams will be divided into four groups, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, where they will compete for $150,000, which will be awarded to the winner of the Roobet Cup 2023. The online event will take place from October 25 to November 2.
Astralis, NIP, BIG , and FURIA are the first participants of this year's tournament. All except NIP participated in the Roobet Cup 2022, which was also held online. FURIA failed to pass the group stage after a victory over Outsiders and two defeats against 9z. Astralis performed better, reaching the playoffs, where they first defeated FORZE and then lost to FaZe in the semifinals with a score of 2:1.
BIG unexpectedly won the tournament without losing a single match. The German team defeated Eternal Fire in the quarterfinals, Cloud9 in the semifinals, and FaZe in the final. By the way, this was the second victory in the tournament over the then very strong FaZe.
