Vici Gaming Returns to Compete in TI 2025 Open Qualifiers

At the close of the season, the legendary Chinese team Vici Gaming is making a return to the professional scene. The organization has unveiled a revamped roster featuring scene veterans: Paparazi, Ori, Yang, kaka, and Dy. All five have previously played together in various combinations and achieved significant results at major tournaments, including The International 2021, where the team secured a 5th–6th place finish, earning $1,400,600.

The return of names well-known to Dota 2 fans adds intrigue to the Chinese qualifiers for TI 2025. Paparazi and Ori were considered one of the strongest core-player duos in the organization's history, while Yang and Dy formed the backbone of the lineup for several years. The addition of the experienced captain kaka makes this roster particularly formidable for opponents.

Previously, Ori and Paparazi represented Xtreme Gaming, but after an unsuccessful season, the team disbanded. Reuniting under the Vici Gaming banner, these scene veterans aim to make their way to The International 2025 through the open qualifiers in China, scheduled to start on June 2.

For all participants, this is not just a new chapter but a chance to reclaim elite status and prove that synergy and experience still hold significant value at the highest level of Dota 2.

Vici Gaming roster:

  • Zhang "Paparazi" Chengjun
  • Zheng "Ori" Jiaoyang
  • Zhou "Yang" Haiyang
  • Hu "kaka" Liangzhi
  • Ding "Dy" Cong
