Nongshim RedForce player Jung “Xross” Hwan shared his thoughts after the team’s victory over Gentle Mates in the opening playoff match of VALORANT Masters Santiago 2026. In the post-match interview, the Korean player spoke about his first international stage appearance with the roster, explained why the current meta suits the team, and discussed what he has learned since joining Nongshim RedForce.
First international stage appearance
At the start of the interview, Xross talked about his experience playing on the international stage with Nongshim RedForce for the first time. According to the player, he felt comfortable and enjoyed the atmosphere created by the crowd in Santiago.

What Xross learned from the roster
Xross then spoke about the experience of playing alongside more seasoned teammates, including the veteran player Rb, and how the roster helped him improve his understanding of team play.
Back in Ascension and Challengers, playing as a team and the idea of teamwork was something that I struggled with. But joining Nongshim, and thanks to RB, I learned a lot and improved a lot on how to play as a team.Xross
Masters Santiago takes place from February 28 to March 16 in Chile.
