ZmjjKK became the MVP of VCT 2026: China Stage 1

The second regional event on the Chinese Valorant scene has concluded, and all the teams that will travel to Masters London have been determined. In the tournament’s grand final, EDward Gaming defeated XLG Esports with a score of 3:2, while the main star was Zheng "ZmjjKK" Yongkang, who performed brilliantly not only in the final match but throughout every stage of VCT 2026: China Stage 1.

ZmjjKK is the best duelist on the Chinese scene

Over the course of the tournament, ZmjjKK played 10 matches, winning 9 of them and losing only one against XLG, with a total of 27 maps played. He most often played duelists Jett, Raze, and Waylay, while also occasionally switching to Chamber. In most matches, ZmjjKK showed an incredibly high level of play and finished first on the post-match scoreboards.

The player’s personal statistics were also incredibly high. In terms of ACS and KPR, ZmjjKK surpassed all other participants at VCT 2026: China Stage 1. As for his K/D ratio, only one player managed to reach the same level — CHICHOO, who is his teammate.

ZmjjKK’s statistics at VCT 2026: China Stage 1

  • ACS: 252
  • K/D: 1.27

  • KPR: 0.89

EVPs of the event

Despite ZmjjKK showing the best results and becoming the MVP, several other players also had strong numbers and were close to the title, but either did not play enough maps or ended up slightly weaker than the main star.

Smoggy

ZmjjKK’s teammate and a key member of EDward Gaming, Zhang "Smoggy" Zhao, showed equally impressive play throughout the entire event. His stats were also very high, and in the grand final he even outperformed ZmjjKK, finishing the match in first place, which earned him the title of the best player of the final clash itself.

  • ACS: 231.3
  • K/D: 1.23
  • ADR: 150.0
  • KPR: 0.81

Happywei

XLG Esports player Teng "happywei" Min-wei also had every chance to become the best player. His high level helped the team come back through the lower bracket and reach the grand final, where they were unable to get revenge against EDward. However, happywei’s individual stats were also among the very best, and if his team had managed to win, he would have been named the tournament MVP.

  • ACS: 232.5
  • K/D: 1.19
  • ADR: 156.7
  • KPR: 0.81

Splash

TYLOO duelist Moses "Splash" Jonathan became a real breakout player at the current event. Despite joining the team not long ago, only a few months ago, Splash managed to show a very high individual level, and in terms of ACS, he took second place at the event behind ZmjjKK.

  • ACS: 242.9
  • K/D: 1.07
  • ADR: 154.4
  • KPR: 0.84

F4ngeer

All Gamers were the champions of the first Kickoff event this season, but at the current tournament the team failed to repeat that success and was eliminated in 4th place, missing out on Masters. Despite this, Roman "f4ngeer" Smirnov was one of the strongest participants at VCT 2026: China Stage 1 and had every chance of becoming MVP if not for his team’s final result.

  • ACS: 236.6
  • K/D: 1.25
  • ADR: 148.5
  • KPR: 0.85

Personal kill record

It is worth noting that, in addition to the title of best player of the event, ZmjjKK also set a new record on the Chinese Valorant scene. In the final match against XLG, he became the first player from his region and the third player in the world to reach 3,000 kills in VCT regional events. This once again proves that the player is not losing form with each passing year and still remains the best duelist in China.
