Vitality will face FURIA for a spot in the IEM Rio 2026 final

Vitality secured their place in the semifinals of IEM Rio 2026 and will face FURIA for a spot in the final. This became possible after the team’s 2:0 victory over NAVI (Mirage 13:4, Dust2 13:6). Both semifinals will take place on April 18.

Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut was the clear leader of this series and rightfully earned the MVP against NAVI in the IEM Rio 2026 quarterfinal. He recorded 44 kills with just 15 deaths, while his ADR reached an incredible 120. Detailed statistics are available below and via this link.

For NAVI, this loss marked their final match at the tournament, as they finished in 5th–6th place alongside MOUZ, earning $12,500 in prize money. For Vitality, the tournament run continues, and on April 18 they will face FURIA for a place in the final, while the losing team will move to the third-place match. The second semifinal will feature a matchup between Spirit and Falcons.

IEM Rio 2026 is taking place from April 13 to April 19 in an offline format in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The tournament started with sixteen teams, and after the beginning of the playoffs only six remain, who will decide the fate of the trophy and the $125,000 awarded to the winner.
