Valve has released a small update for Counter-Strike 2, with the main fix addressing an issue with the new C4 explosion system that caused players to receive at least 1 HP of damage regardless of their location on the map.
The developers removed the global rule that caused this bug or feature and also fixed incorrect behavior of the new C4 explosion damage system near the borders between different map zones. Additionally, bomb explosions now push dropped weapons further away.
Full list of changes:
- Removed the global rule that caused the new C4 explosion system to deal at least 1 HP of damage across the entire map;
- Fixed an issue where the new C4 damage system did not work correctly near the borders between different map zones;
- New C4 explosions now push dropped weapons further;
- Adjusted the visibility of the “Sniper Ahead” sticker while scraping;
- Fixed an issue where seasonal medals did not have a golden tint on one of the stripes;
- Fixed a problem where the scoreboard (TAB) did not update if it was open;
- Improved overall game stability.
The new C4 explosion damage system was introduced in the previous CS2 update, which significantly changed how explosives function. However, its release was accompanied by several bugs that Valve is now actively fixing.
