First round at PGL Major Stockholm

The first round matchups.

PGL Major Stockholm 2021 is right around the corner and is going to start on November 26th, so it is about time for the first sixteen teams to find out their opponents during the first set of games in the initial Swiss stage.

The reigning Major champions Astralis will clash in the Danish derby with Copenhagen Flames, who have stunned nearly everyone by qualifying for the event during the IEM Fall Europe, while FaZe Clan and Team Spirit are going to go against each other in the very first game of the tournament. A surprising pair of rising teams, ENCE Esports and GODSENT are going to face each other at the same time as another Brazilian squad, paiN Gaming will be tested by Entropiq in the battle of the Major debutants. BIG and Virtus.pro will start their campaigns against each other, Movistar Riders will play their first match ever at the Majors against Renegades, while TYLOO and Sharks Esports will play against Heroic and MOUZ, who are going to be heavily favoured in those games.

Three wins will move the teams to the next round, while three losses are going to eliminate eight squads from the tournament.
