The third round of the Swiss stage at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 delivered two emotionally contrasting matches. In one — the battle for a playoff spot, in the other — the fight for a chance to stay in the tournament. The teams paiN Gaming, B8, fnatic, and MIBR showcased the contrast between stability and desperation, but only two of them will continue their journey in Bucharest.
paiN Gaming 2–0 B8
The series between paiN and B8 was pivotal in the upper part of the Swiss system — the winner secured a spot in the playoffs.
On Dust2, the Brazilians appeared more composed, skillfully controlling the game's pace. Despite B8's attempts to find rhythm through aggressive mid-picks, paiN left no chances for the opponent — 13:8.
On Mirage, the situation was more tense. B8 started better on defense, but after the side switch, paiN demonstrated complete dominance in clutch situations and ended the game 13:10, closing the series 2–0.
MVP of the series — biguzera (paiN)
biguzera once again confirmed his status as a veteran and leader. His consistency was key to victory: 37 frags, a 7.7 rating, and confident reads of the opponent on both maps.

paiN Gaming advance to the playoffs with a perfect 3–0 record, confirming their status as regional favorites. B8 now stand at 2–1 and will have another chance to progress in the next Swiss round.

fnatic 2–0 MIBR
The match between fnatic and MIBR was decisive for both teams — a loss meant elimination from the tournament.
On Inferno, the British squad left no chance for the opponent. Confident splits on B and precise reads of MIBR's rotations secured fnatic an easy victory 13:3.
On Mirage, the script repeated — fnatic dominated in firefights, executed with precise timing, and didn't allow MIBR even a glimpse of a comeback. The final score of 13:5 sent the Brazilians home.
MVP of the series — blameF (fnatic)
Benjamin “blameF” Bremer once again demonstrated cold efficiency: 112.5 ADR, and consistent impact in every round. His aggressive openings and smart trades shattered any hope MIBR had for a comeback.
