Nikola "NiKo" Kovač reflected on Falcons’ ongoing communication improvements, and his recent MVP milestone. The team is playing PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 and has 1-0 result after convincing victory over 3DMAX.
Enjoying every MVP like it’s the last
Every event that I play or every MVP I get, I always think nowadays that it might be my last one, so I really wanna enjoy it… I was really surprised when I learned that I got the MVP. It didn’t cross my mind in a single moment. It felt nice.
With star teammates around him, NiKo admitted it’s harder than ever to stand out individually, which makes each personal accolade even more meaningful at this stage of his career.

Finding the balance in advantage situations
Falcons have faced criticism for losing key advantage rounds in big matches, and NiKo agreed that it’s something the team continues to work on – without overthinking it.
We obviously have to focus on these issues because we have lost some of the rounds in very important events, and we felt like those rounds were separating us from lifting trophies a couple of times, so we had to put emphasis on these rounds. It’s definitely a focus point for us, but we also know that we don’t wanna play too passive.
He explained that with multiple aggressive players on the roster, striking the right balance between discipline and initiative is still a work in progress. Falcons now look ahead in Cluj with signs of progress – but as NiKo made clear, the real proof will come when the pressure rises.
