The fifth day of play for the second stage of ESL Pro League Season 23 determined the final participants for the LAN finals. In the Swiss system matches with a 2-2 score, teams fought for the last playoff slots — the winners advanced, while the defeated ended their run in the tournament.
NAVI defeated 3DMAX and advanced to the playoffs — 2:1
Natus Vincere secured an important victory over 3DMAX in the decisive match for advancing to the final stage.
The series began on Dust2, where NAVI confidently controlled the game and won 13:5. The French team responded on Inferno, where they turned the game around after a strong first half and won 13:5, leveling the series. The match was decided on Ancient, where the Ukrainian team showed dominance in the second half and closed the map 13:5, winning the series 2:1.
Thanks to this victory, Natus Vincere finished the group stage with a 3-2 record and advanced to the playoffs. Meanwhile, 3DMAX left the tournament, finishing in 9-11th place and earning $12,500 in prize money (+ $22,000 club share).
FUT sensationally eliminated G2 — 2:1
In the second match of the day, FUT Esports faced G2 Esports.
The series started on Mirage, where G2 confidently won 13:4 after a dominant performance. However, the Turkish team quickly bounced back into the match — on Dust2, FUT snatched a 13:11 victory, taking the series to the deciding map. On Overpass, the team showed a strong attacking game in the second half and closed the map 13:11, winning the series 2:1.
As a result, FUT Esports advance to the LAN finals with a 3-2 result, while G2 Esports conclude their run in 9-11th place, receiving $12,500 (+ $22,000 club share).
Astralis confidently defeated FURIA — 2:1
In the third match of the day, Astralis faced FURIA Esports.
The series started on Nuke, where the Danish team completely controlled the game and won 13:4. The Brazilians managed to respond on Dust2, where thanks to a strong second half, they won the map 13:9. Inferno proved decisive, where Astralis once again dominated and closed the map 13:4, finishing the series 2:1.
Thanks to this victory, Astralis advance to the playoffs with a 3-2 record. For FURIA Esports, the tournament ended at this stage.
