Lobanjica: Over a Million CS2 Players Could Be Bots Due to Premier Shutdown

Streamer and former professional player Nikola "Lobanjica" Mijomanović has questioned the reality of Counter-Strike 2's online presence following the temporary shutdown of the Premier mode.

Lobanjica highlighted online statistics

According to Lobanjica, during the 48-hour technical pause of the Premier mode, the number of concurrent players remained practically unchanged. Additionally, steamcharts information shows that more than 1.08 million users were online in CS2 simultaneously.

The streamer hinted at the bot farm issue

Lobanjica believes that a significant portion of the current online presence might be made up of bot farms rather than real players. He sarcastically noted that it's unlikely over a million users simultaneously switched to play Casual or Deathmatch after Premier was disabled.

Valve has not commented on the situation

Despite Lobanjica's claim, Valve has not officially confirmed the existence of a large-scale bot problem or artificial inflation of CS2's online numbers.

Nevertheless, the topic of bot farms is regularly discussed within the community, especially regarding Deathmatch and Casual modes, where users have repeatedly reported a large number of suspicious accounts. Currently, Lobanjica's statements remain his personal assessment of the situation.
