G2 has officially announced the extension of their contract with Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko, who signed a new multi-year deal with the organization ahead of the start of Stage 2 at IEM Cologne. The Israeli player joined G2 in January 2025 after Nikola "NiKo" Kovač left for Falcons and quickly became a key component of the roster.
G2's Stability with HeavyGod in the Lineup
Since his arrival, G2 has become a stable participant in most major tournaments. The team consistently reached the playoffs or stopped at the final stages of the group phase, remaining among the competitive top teams on the scene.
Despite Vitality's dominance over the past year and a half, G2 managed to secure several important trophies. The biggest achievement was winning the title at BLAST Open London 2025, where the team triumphed in the finals with a 3-2 score, and HeavyGod was named the tournament's MVP.
The roster also secured another trophy at Stake Ranked Episode 1 shortly after the addition of Guy “NertZ” Iluz, further solidifying the team's position at the top level.

Contract Ahead of the Decisive Stage
The new agreement was signed right before the start of Stage 2 in Cologne, highlighting the organization's trust in the player and the current lineup. G2 is counting on HeavyGod's stability and experience in crucial tournament matches, where every series could be decisive.
Thus, the team enters the next stage of IEM Cologne with renewed confidence and a preserved core roster that has already proven its competitiveness at the top level.
