The double absence of Tauson through illness and Snax due to a long-standing medical appointment that couldn't be moved left the team short of the minimum player threshold for the first match of the day.
The org confirmed Snax will return for their second match, meaning GamerLegion's qualifier run continues from that point, but the forfeit drops them into a position where any further stumble could end their Beijing hopes entirely. Two spots are on offer across the 16-team double-elimination bracket, and starting with a forced loss before a single map is played is about as bad an opening as possible for a team that entered as the second-highest-ranked side in the field.
The timing compounds the frustration built up over the past week. Tauson's illness was already flagged as the reason Maden was brought in as a stand-in, and now Snax's scheduling conflict has created a second simultaneous problem that the org couldn't work around. GamerLegion's Beijing bid is still alive, but it needs to start winning immediately.
