Gaimin Gladiators have made history at IEM Cologne Major 2026, and not the kind anyone wants. The Brazilian side finished Stage 1 with a 23.5% round win rate across 68 rounds played, the lowest figure ever recorded in a Major Swiss stage.
The previous record was held by Virtus.pro at ELEAGUE Major 2018, who won just 25% of their rounds across 64 played. Gaimin Gladiators didn't just break that record, they shattered it by a significant margin, finishing a full 1.5 percentage points below a team that set the bar eight years ago.
For context, Metizport at BLAST Austin Major 2025 won 26.7% of their rounds, Lynn Vision at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 managed 29.7%, and FlipSid3 at ELEAGUE Major 2018 Challenger Stage posted 30.4%. Every other entry on the all-time worst list sits comfortably above what Gaimin Gladiators produced in Cologne.

The Brazilians qualified for the Major as one of the more surprising inclusions in the field, and Stage 1 was a painful reminder of the gap between qualifying for a Major and competing at one.
