FURIA Shocks Falcons with Victory at IEM Chengdu 2025

The Brazilian team FURIA became the second finalist of IEM Chengdu 2025, defeating Falcons with a score of 2:0 in the semifinal match. The team led by Fallen showcased an aggressive playstyle and left no room for a comeback, securing their spot against Vitality in the tournament finals.

Match Progression

The series kicked off on Inferno, FURIA's pick, and it was immediately clear that the Brazilians were serious. A strong start on offense allowed them to take ten rounds in the first half, and after switching sides, they quickly sealed the victory — 13:5. KSCERATO and yuurih controlled the map, leaving Falcons no room to maneuver.

On Mirage, Falcons' map choice, the match was more intense. The European squad managed to fight evenly in the first half (7:5), but after switching to defense, FURIA picked up the pace again — Fallen dominated the openings, and yuurih closed out key rounds. The result was 13:11 and a convincing 2:0 victory for the Brazilians.

Match MVP

The title of the best player of the series went to Yuri “yuurih” Santos, who was the true driving force for the team on both maps. With stats of 0.86 KPR, 0.62 DPR, and 92.0 ADR, he not only set the pace in crucial rounds but also saved the team from losing economic advantage several times.
