FURIA, GODSENT qualify to PGL Major Stockholm 2021
Make it four for Brazil.
Second group at the prestigious event.
Group B at the IEM Fall North America featured a pair of North American teams in Evil Geniuses and Triumph, as well as four squads representing Brazil - FURIA Esports, GODSENT, 00Nation and Team oNe eSports. Only three teams could make it to playoffs, joining the likes of Team Liquid, paiN Gaming and EXTREMUM, who have already qualified there from group A.
FURIA Esports ran the table, making it their second Major, as they won all five games in a row, while GODSENT added the second place and a berth in Stockholm to their recent streak, including a DreamHack Open 46 victory. 00Nation, surprisingly, were left winless despite their star-studded lineup, while EG, Triumph and Team One clashed in the additional tiebreakers, as EG were even awarded a forfeit victory over Triumph during the group stage due to one of the players oversleeping. Four sets of tiebreakers on Inferno determined that it is going to be Evil Geniuses, who will play EXTREMUM for the last spot at the Major from North America, while other squads are going to wait until the next Major cycle.
With the playoffs being set and done, it is almost time to find out who is going to be the IEM Fall North America champion.
