ESIC warns professional players about match fixing organiser

The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has warned professional Counter-Strike players about an organized criminal using the pseudonym "DEzCurse".

The ESIC organization is often criticized for its inaction regarding match-fixing. However, the commission has recently become more active. First, ESIC suspended 18-year-old professional CS:GO player Joel "joel" Holmlund. The Swede played for such teams as Monte and GODSENT.

Next, the appeal of Allan "Rejin" Petersen was reviewed, and his punishment was changed from a lifetime ban from participating in majors to five tournaments. The former MOUZ coach was punished in 2020 for using a coaching camera bug in official matches.
