daps to stand-in for EG at ESL Pro League Season 14

An unexpected substitution right before the second half of the season.

Evil Geniuses have struggled since their dominant run in the middle of 2020 and the departure of “Ethan” to VALORANT before 2021 did not help the cause. But team is still well-set to make a run for the PGL Major Stockholm slot and will play at ESL Pro League Season 14, BLAST Premier Fall and other events, such as IEM Fall.

However, additions of “MICHU” and “oBo”, who came in place of “Ethan” and “tarik” are not going to be the last in 2021, as “daps” is going to substitute for “stanislaw”, at least, at ESL Pro League Season 14. Usually it was other way, as “stanislaw” was “daps”’s replacement at OpTic Gaming, Team Liquid and NRG Esports (which became the current iteration of EG), but with no desire to come back to travelling, this time it will be different.

“daps”, who has only recently returned from his stint on Gen.G in VALORANT, took coaching reigns in Evil Geniuses, but now will have to lead the team at one of the biggest events of the year.

Maybe it’s going to be what EG need, considering the amount of powerhouses in their group, featuring the likes of Natus Vincere, FaZe Clan, mousesports, Fnatic and BIG.
