CS2 Update Brings Cache Fixes, AWP Animation Tweak, and Boost Stack Accuracy Penalty

Valve has shipped a new CS2 patch covering spectator fixes, a meaningful gameplay addition for boosted players, and the first round of Cache-specific adjustments since the map's official release.

The Gameplay Change That Matters

The most notable addition is weapon_accuracy_stack_boost_limit, a new server variable set to a default of two. Any player boosted by a stack of two or more players will now receive ladder inaccuracy penalties. It's a targeted change aimed at making large boost stacks less of a free accuracy advantage, and one that could have real implications for how teams approach certain positions competitively.

AWP and Grenade Improvements

The AWP's draw-to-idle animation transition has been adjusted, continuing Valve's ongoing polish of the weapon feel post-Animgraph 2. Grenade jump throws also received consistency improvements alongside a more accurate jump throw preview camera, which should help players land utility more reliably when using the preview tool.

Cache Getting Tuned

Window covers on Cache now show collision and decals when shot, window and vent entrance clipping has been adjusted for both players and grenades, and several spectator-side bugs have been fixed including stuck x-ray silhouettes and a post-processing glitch when switching between targets.
