CS2 update adjusts recoil camera motion and brings Animgraph 2 fixes

Valve has pushed a new CS2 patch addressing camera behavior during recoil, aim punch consistency, and several Animgraph 2 issues that surfaced since the beta launched.

Recoil and Aim Punch Changes

The most significant gameplay change is a recoil camera adjustment that brings visual feedback closer to how CS:GO felt. Bullet trajectories themselves remain unchanged, so spray patterns stay the same, but the camera movement during recoil now more closely mirrors the older game. Separately, aim punch from taking damage will now apply its full camera effect regardless of network latency. Previously, players on higher ping saw a reduced visual response to being shot. The actual bullet trajectory effect was always applied server-side, but now the camera motion matches that immediately for everyone.

Animgraph 2 Cleanup

Three Animgraph 2 fixes shipped alongside the gameplay changes: minor viewmodel animation tweaks, a fix for crouch transitions in the air that were snapping instantaneously instead of blending smoothly, and a bug fix for MVP panel characters not resetting correctly between rounds.

Armory Collections Leaving Soon

Not mentioned in the official patch notes but flagged separately: the Train 2025 Collection, Sport and Field Collection, Sugarface 2 stickers, and Elemental Craft stickers are all leaving the Armory soon. Players looking to pick up any of those items have a limited window remaining before they rotate out.
