CS2 Premier Season Four Begins: Anubis Updates, New Skin Collections, and Community Maps

Premier Season Four has burst into Counter-Strike 2, bringing with it not just an update, but a whole wave of changes—from the introduction of new maps to weapon balancing and new skin collections.

The main intrigue of the update is the return of Anubis to the active map pool. After a short "break," the map is back with unexpected changes, and fans are already discussing fresh tactical opportunities. Besides this, developers have refreshed the arsenal: SMGs received a slight buff, and the limited edition AK-47 | Aphrodite skin has hit the shelves, destined to become a collector's rarity.

Everything That Changed: From Anubis to Aphrodite

Premier Season Four has officially kicked off, and the main change is the return of Anubis to the active map pool, automatically replacing Train. The map has undergone several tweaks: the position of the bridge drop has been changed, the orientation of the mid doors has been reversed, a passage between the connector and the back of site B has been added, and the landscape on A-site has been updated, opening new creative space for plays.

There are also changes in the arsenal: the MP7 and MP5-SD now deal slightly more damage and lose less power over distance. Their cost has been reduced by $100, as has the PP-Bizon. Thanks to this, a support buy can become more cost-effective even mid-round.

Valve hasn't forgotten about the visual aspect—weapon model detailing has been improved, including the AK-47, AWP, and Deagle, and the sound system has been revamped. Now, the sound of knife attacks varies depending on the type of strike and direction, and the ambient sound no longer resets when transitioning between map zones.

In addition, new community maps have appeared in CS2: Stronghold, Alpine, and Warren are now available in classic modes, while Sanctum and Poseidon are in Wingman. Traditionally, some old maps (Golden, Palacio, Agency, Rooftop) have been removed from the game.

Finally, players will be able to receive updated rewards in weekly drops: two new collections—Harlequin and Achroma—have been added to the game. Additionally, the limited edition AK-47 | Aphrodite is available in the Armory Pass.

Premier Season Four is more than just an update. Valve demonstrates that it actively listens to players: improving maps, balance, sound, and visuals, maintaining the rhythm of the seasons, and supporting the community through new maps and collections. With each update, CS2 increasingly takes on the features of a mature esports platform, ready for major tournaments in 2026.
