In the Counter-Strike 2 files, new mentions of clantags have been found, which could indicate the return of this feature in future updates. This was noted by the dataminer Aquarius.
What is known
According to Aquarius, fresh game files have new references related to clantags. Valve has not officially announced the return of this feature yet, so this information should be considered as rumors.
What are clantags
Clantags were available in Counter-Strike: Source and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. They allowed players to display a shortened name of a clan or Steam group before their nickname.
In CS:GO, the feature worked through Steam groups: after selecting the appropriate group, its abbreviation automatically appeared before the in-game nickname.

Why this is interesting
After the release of Counter-Strike 2, Valve did not carry over several features from CS:GO, including clantags. If the dataminer's information is confirmed, players will once again be able to use their own team or community tags without external methods.
Currently, Valve has not commented on the discovery, so the date of the possible return of clantags remains unknown.
