A new exploit has surfaced in CS2 that allows players to use the grenade training camera during live competitive matches, effectively giving them the ability to track enemy movements through walls. The bug works in official Valve matchmaking and on FACEIT.
How It Works
The exploit is activated through Steam launch options. By entering a specific set of commands including sv_cheats true and sv_grenade_trajectory_prac_pipreview true alongside several other parameters, players can activate the grenade practice camera in competitive environments where it should be completely disabled. The full command string is publicly circulating, meaning any player can replicate it.

Animgraph 2 Is Likely the Cause
The exact origin of the bug isn't confirmed, but the timing points directly at the Animgraph 2 update. The animation system overhaul has introduced several unintended vulnerabilities since its release, including weapons clipping through walls and broken model movement, most of which Valve has already patched. This one hasn't been addressed yet.

Not the First Time
This isn't a new category of problem for CS2. Earlier this year players discovered that replacing game files could activate a form of wallhack and a skin changer. Valve patched that specific vulnerability in the April 21 update. The grenade camera exploit appears to be a separate issue introduced more recently, and with the Cologne Major approaching, pressure on Valve to close it quickly is significant.
