A new leak in the Counter-Strike 2 community has sparked a lot of discussion. Dataminer Thour reported that mentions of vehicles were found in the game's files.
What Was Found
In the ai_basenpc.fgd file, after the AnimGraph2 Beta update, new parameters related to vehicles appeared:
- driver and passenger seats
- entry/exit points
- destructible elements: doors, windows, headlights, wheels, hood, and windshield
This could indicate the possible addition of cars or other vehicles in the future.
Will This Appear in CS2
Initially, players speculated that this could be part of a new operation or even a new mode in CS2.
However, the dataminer later clarified that these files are likely more related to another Valve project — HLX (potentially Half-Life), as similar changes also appeared in a Dota 2 update.

What This Means
At the moment, there is no confirmation that vehicles will appear in CS2. It is more likely part of the general changes to the Source 2 engine, which is used in several Valve games.
Nevertheless, the mere presence of such mechanics leaves room for future experimentation.
The new leak looks intriguing, but for now, it's not advisable to expect vehicles in CS2 anytime soon.
Most likely, these are technical changes for other Valve projects, although fans are already actively discussing potential new modes or even unconventional updates for the game.
