Steam Tests New “Personal Calendar” Feature for Tracking Game Releases

Steam has begun testing a new Labs experiment called “Personal Calendar,” which automatically compiles a list of recently released and upcoming games based on the user’s library. The feature became available, via the Steam Labs section.

As part of its Labs experiment No. 016, Steam launched the “Personal Calendar” feature on October 21, 2025. The list is generated automatically and includes three tabs: “Released in the Last Month,” “Released in the Last 7 Days,” and “Upcoming.” Users can customize how many games appear, from 10 to 500, and view the list either through the Steam client or in a browser after signing in.

Releases are displayed in chronological order. If no releases are scheduled within the next month, the calendar automatically shifts to the following month. It updates daily to reflect changes in release dates or surprise launches.

Valve Corporation has not yet announced when the feature will roll out widely. The company notes that it remains an experiment “that we’re improving with your feedback.” The feature complements other recent Labs experiments, such as the redesigned Steam Store layout aimed at improving navigation, discoverability, and personalized recommendations. Users who want to try the new tool can activate the experiment manually in the Steam Labs section.

Steam previously introduced several Labs experiments, including “New Discovery Queue,” which showed games one by one to improve visibility and engagement. Earlier in 2025, the platform also tested a redesigned storefront with easier navigation and enhanced personalization options.
