Developer Krafton permanently shuts down PUBG Blindspot on Sunday March 30 after the game spent less than two months in early access. The studio ended support for the project because it suffered from low player engagement and limited growth.

What happened
Krafton confirmed they will shut down the game servers this weekend and end the project shortly after the late January early access release. The title failed to maintain a stable player base so developers decided against continuing development or releasing a full version. The game becomes completely inaccessible once the servers go offline.
Short lifecycle and early access struggles
Creators designed the experimental spin off to feature a top down perspective and focus on small scale tactical combat. This new format differed from the traditional battle royale experience and it failed to attract a broad audience. Player numbers declined within the first weeks after launch and content updates did not improve engagement. The project remained stuck in early access without a clear development roadmap as a direct result of these issues.

No transition plan or offline mode
The development team did not offer any alternative plans for the future of the title. Players receive no offline mode and the studio plans no transition to other platforms or relaunches in different formats. Everyone loses access to the experience completely after the shutdown.
The studio created the spin off as one of several attempts to expand the franchise beyond the core battle royale genre. The original game continues to generate steady revenue while experimental projects struggle to find an audience.
