Larian Studios Approves Console Release of Baldur's Gate 3 Mods

On October 11, 2025, Larian Studios officially authorized the release of mods for console versions of Baldur's Gate 3. This decision expands character customization and gameplay options on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Larian Studios announced that it would allow mods for console versions of Baldur's Gate 3, including fan-made subclasses such as Eldritch Cleric. The update makes these mods available for consoles players for the first time.

However, it is worth noting that console versions of the game have limitations on the number of mods that can be installed. Larian Studios has set a limit of 100 mods that are compatible with console and Mac versions of the game. In addition, third-party mods cannot be used on consoles. This means that players must choose mods that are officially supported and compatible with their platform.

In April 2025, Larian Studios released the last major patch for Baldur's Gate 3, which included 12 new subclasses, cross-platform multiplayer, and a photo mode. Since the patch's release, the studio has continued to support the modding community and expand the game's customization options.
