Forza Horizon 6 Shows Full Summer Japan Map

The full Summer map of Forza Horizon 6 has been revealed, highlighting a large-scale version of Japan with diverse regions and dense road networks. Playground Games shared the details on April 7, giving you a closer look at the locations available before the game launches on May 16, 2026.

Map Overview and Regions

Playground Games published the complete map through the official Forza Horizon account, showing the overall scale and structure of the open world. The Summer version covers a wide area of Japan and combines several distinct regions into one connected map.

Players drive through Tokyo inspired districts filled with dense streets and highway loops that contrast with quieter countryside roads where the open layout allows for fast driving across long distances.

The map features mountainous regions with steep elevation changes and winding roads leading to snow covered hills. These higher areas add visual contrast and create different driving conditions compared to lowland routes to keep the experience varied across the entire world.

Focus on Density and Verticality

The developers designed their most dense and vertical map yet by tightening the road network with more intersections and overlapping paths compared to previous games. Elevation plays a much bigger role in movement across the world because drivers encounter sharp climbs and technical mountain passes that require precise control.

Urban areas reflect this same vertical design through multi level roads and complex layouts. This approach shifts the gameplay toward technical driving while keeping open road segments for speed focused events.

Cars and Technical Improvements

The game focuses strongly on Japanese car culture by offering access to more than 550 real world cars including classic models and modern performance vehicles. The developers improved the technical side of driving by updating engine audio to match each car and refining steering animations for smoother movement.

Wheel rotation now supports up to 540 degrees to increase realism for players using steering wheel setups. These updates make driving feel more responsive and consistent across different types of cars and road conditions.

The Forza Horizon series historically places players in large open world locations inspired by real countries like the previous focus on Mexico. Japan remained one of the most requested settings and Forza Horizon 6 becomes the first entry to fully explore that environment with a dedicated map.

guys lets keep it constructive, the denser road layout sounds sick but it’ll punish sloppy driving hard
