Bethesda Game Studios has published a major community update outlining what its flagship franchises will look like for the next several years․ You'll find the full text in the pinned topic․
The biggest announcement during the present was that the Fallout series is one of the developer's top priority franchises․ Bethesda also announced that Fallout 5 is in pre-production while there are other Fallout video game projects in development․
The remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas have been confirmed by the studio‚ although the release dates of both remasters have not been revealed‚ with Bethesda confirming that they are in development․
The next major story expansion for Fallout 76‚ titled Raven Rock‚ is set to be released the following year and will act as a prequel to Fallout 3‚ which will still receive support․ According to the game's developers‚ Fallout 76 has received almost 70 free post-launch updates․
Another major announcement was the confirmation of a collaboration with Obsidian Entertainment. Bethesda officially stated that the studio is working together with Obsidian on a new Fallout project, although no further details have been revealed at this time.
Even The Elder Scrolls series was not an exception‚ with Bethesda stating that The Elder Scrolls VI was its top priority and that most of the team was focused on the next game in the series․ The studio has stated that the game is on schedule with developers having regular playtests of the game․
It was also revealed that both The Elder Scrolls VI and Fallout 5 are being developed using the new Creation Engine 3. The engine is expected to support multiple large-scale projects simultaneously and serve as the technological foundation for Bethesda’s future RPGs.
In addition, Bethesda confirmed continued support for Starfield, ongoing development of the Creations platform, new seasons for Fallout Shelter, work on a television project based on Fallout Shelter, and preparations for Fallout’s 30th anniversary celebration in 2027.
