In Dune: Awakening, resources, enemies, and containers possess varying respawn periods that indicate when they will reappear once they've been collected or utilized. Knowing these periods helps players to effectively organize farming paths, prevent needless waiting, and replenish supplies at a rapid rate.

When they are reborn resources

Node-extracted resources—such as gravel, copper, or minerals—nearly invariably respawn around 10 minutes when they are taken. Likewise with enemies: when you defeat NPCs like scouts or raiders, they usually reappear around that same amount of time later. Do take notice that those things are on a group timer that everyone shares, so when someone takes a different resource, you are going to need to wait until it respawns again.

When they are reborn chests

Loot containers and chests are a bit different. They both have individual respawn times, so each player's timer starts when they are opened. The loot for containers will normally restore about 45 minutes later. For some areas—PvP or hostile areas—this timer is longer, sometimes over an hour.

There is also a singular situation with plants, and that’s bushes that produce plant fiber. These resources respawn even faster—sometimes in less than a minute. That makes for quick gathering by running to and fro through multiple such locations and returning to the starting point not long afterwards.

If you’re actually going to farm resources, you’re better off making a loop that’s based off of the different types of respawn. For example, you go and farm some minerals, through an enemy zone, and back to spawn—both resources and npcs should have spawned by then. The same would be true for containers: you’re going to farm somewhere specific, you should go there again 45–60 minutes later.

Familiarity with these mechanics makes surviving and progressing through Dune: Awakening much more efficient. Time optimization when traveling between respawn points decreases dead time and ensures that you are ever better supplied.
