All Biomods in Subnautica 2 & How to Get Them

Biomods are one of the most important progression systems in Subnautica 2. These biological upgrades provide passive and active abilities that improve exploration, survival, mobility, and resource management across the ocean.

You unlock Biomods by bioscanning specific creatures and plants, while equipping them requires access to a Bio Lab. Early in the game, players can use abandoned Bio Labs near the Lifepod before eventually crafting one for their own base.

Biological modifications, or biomods, add yet another dimension of progression to Subnautica 2 by allowing players to yet again choose their route on another survival strategy with biological upgrades over traditional equipment.

There are biomods that sustain the traditional gameplay like the slow metabolism and the water secretion which help with convenience. There are also several options that are more aggressive, like electric discharge, camouflage, sonic echo and dash which hugely improve exploration and survivability against the challenges of the harshest regions.

Players in subnautica tend to focus on mobility and oxygen biomods first to ease early game problems, before focusing on stealth and exploration upgrades.
