The first matches of The International 2026 for Dota 2 will take place on August 13 in Shanghai, China. The opening round of the group stage will feature eight predetermined best-of-3 series.
The gaming day will kick off with four simultaneous broadcasts. In the first wave of matches, 1win will face Nigma Galaxy, BetBoom Team will go up against OG, PARIVISION will play against Resilience, and Team Falcons will compete with LGD Gaming. The matches are scheduled to start at 04:00 CEST.
In the second part of the opening round, Team Yandex will meet L1ga Team, Team Spirit will face Xtreme Gaming, Team Liquid will play against Vici Gaming, and Aurora Gaming will take on GamerLegion. These matches will begin at 07:00 CEST.
Organizers have also announced that an additional series will be determined later on each of the four broadcasts. All opening matches of the championship will be played in a best-of-3 format.
